If you haven't attended a single class....

Perhaps with this article I can start a chain of the "if..." articles about students' life. As you can remember my previous article was discussing a problem of the classes after a hot party the day before.

This time I would like to tell you a story that maybe is not very common for every student, but still can happen to anybody. This story happened to me a few weeks ago. Actually the whole matter concerns mostly my younger sis, who is a four-year student.

So, I don't know for what reasons, but during the semester she hasn't attended a single class of Spanish. I guess that she thought of her Spanish when it was high-time to take a credit. And the several days days before her credit she came and told "Damn, I need to take a credit!!! What should I do? I haven't even seen the teacher".

I couldn't believe my ears when she started to persuade me of taking a credit instead of her. Sure, I didn't agree at first, but then I thought "What is the difference, if the teacher hasn't seen her".

So, I did it, I took that credit. Fortunately, I have been studying Spanish for 3 years, but I haven't practiced it for about a year. Thus, I could only read and translate pretty well. But when I started speaking, it seems the teacher wasn't inspired. After that I invented a lachrymose story explaining the reasons why I was absent. Finally, she took pity upon me and gave me a credit.

It is a real story! Don't think it's my imagination. And with this story I just want to say that there are no hopeless situations. You have to try all the methods, and the solution will be found! So, GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!

If you were clubbin' all night long...

I guess clubbing and having parties is the most favourite activity of every student. You would definitely agree that parties are the integral part of college years. Still, parties do not always happen on the weekend. Sometimes a party can be arranged in the middle of the week when you have classes the next day.
Yeah, it's a real disaster this next day when you are sleepy and have a headache. But for some reasons you can't miss this or that class and you have to suffer the whole day.
I can tell you whatI was doing in such situations. I attended my classes, but managed to have a sleep! You know what I did? First, I tried to sit somewhere in the back row. I know professors are a bit suspicious about those sitting in the back row. Still, it's the best place to sleep.
And then I just pretended that I was writing something down holding my head with one hand. It really worked and none of my professors noticed that I was sleeping.
Actually I did it quite often because I LOVE parties. The main thing that you have to do the next day is overcoming somehow that sleepy state. A headache can be easily removed with a couple of Aspirin pills.
So guys, do not miss the parties because of the classes that you may have the next day. After graduating you will recollect them as the best moments of your student life, and you will not regret that you were sleeping in class, not at home.
And don't worry about information you can miss. Just take somebody's notes or a textbook and find enough time for studies. This is going to be a small atonement for your love of the parties.

Exam nerves or everythng comes out our heads

his palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
there's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
he's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs
but he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down.....

he open's his mouth but the words won't come out....

Yes, you get it right. It's the words from a song of Eminem. He was describing his feelings before the first time he had to perform on the stage.
But does this situation remind you of something? Isn't it you before the exam?
I am sure almost everybody is like that before the exams, no matter whether you know something or you know nothing. Perhaps the last situation is even better because you know that anyway you are going to fail, so there's no need to be afraid.
But what do we have to do when we were preparing for the exam and still our nerves can drive us mad? I will tell you one thing. The only remedy here is you and your head. All our thoughts come out of the head and it is we who produce them. Thus, we can take control of them.
For instance, you think that you won't have the answers on some questions. Turn this thought out of your head. You were studying and you were revising the materials. So why would you have some questions that you don't have the answers for.

It was just an example but I want to say the following. Our thoughts really can materialize. Don't think I'm kidding. If you repeat something in your head for hundred times, it will come true. But do you need your negative thoughts to come true?

So, stop thinking that bull and fill your head with positive emotions and thoughts. This is the best way to stop being nervous before the exams.

Successful Job Interview

Hi everybody! I would like to share with you my experience of job interviews. I didn't have too much of them, still I have something to tell you. If some of you thinks that job interview is a kind of trifle, you are completely wrong. You even can't imagine how many tricky widgets those HRs have. They, of course, don't have the aim to fail you in the job interview. They are just looking for a real specialist who will be working for the company's prosperity. But sometimes it seems that they are looking for a superman. If you have just finished your education and now looking for a job, it is better to be well-equiped. Be ready for different questions of a weird kind. For expamle, I had a situation when HR asked me: What is the weight of Boeing-747? Of course I didn't have the right answer and I guess this HR as well. He was just checking my mother wit and ability to get out of a scrape. The only thing I could do in this situation was my counter question: How many passengers are there on board of the plane? Then I gave the first numeral concerning its weight that came to my mind. The questions of that kind are very common and perhaps it's the esasiest one. And now imagine the situation. You get such a question, you have no idea about the answer and the next thing you do is you are getting nervous. Experienced HR will get evrtything about you at the very moment and it's more likely that you won't get the job. So, here is my advice for you. If you are going to have a job interview, you should better prepare for it thoroughly. There are heaps of different sites today where you can get a professional advice from other HRs and experienced job-seekers. You should learn how to control your emotions and hide your fears. It's o.k that you are a bit nervous at the interview and HRs understand that. However, your nerves must not bother you to think and make right decisions. I wish you find a good job that will satisfy all your ambitions and expectations. Good Luck!!!!
